Crystal Bracelet Care: Cleaning, Storage & Everyday Wear

August 25, 2026

Crystal bracelet care comes down to a few simple habits: keep them dry, keep them away from chemicals, and store them gently. Every piece we make is decorative jewelry — this guide covers the physical side only: everyday wear, cleaning and storage.

Physical Care Instructions

  • Remove your bracelet before showering, swimming or doing housework. Shower gel, chlorine and household chemicals may dull the stones and age the elastic cord.
  • Natural crystals are brittle. Avoid dropping or heavy impact to prevent cracks and chips.
  • Take the bracelet off before sleeping or exercising to avoid stretching the elastic cord and excess sweat exposure.
  • Apply perfume and skincare first, wait until fully dry, then put on your jewelry.

Cleaning

  • For daily dust: wipe gently with a soft, lint-free cloth.
  • For light dirt: a brief lukewarm-water rinse and a soft brush, then dry completely right away. Do not soak.
  • If your piece includes metal accents: wipe them with a soft dry cloth, or use a silver polishing cloth. Do not use silver dip liquid — it can damage the polish on the stones next to the metal.
  • Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and hot water.

Storage

  • Store separately in a jewelry pouch or box, away from harder jewelry that may scratch the beads.
  • Keep it in a cool, dry place. Prolonged direct sunlight may fade certain gemstones.
  • Do not stretch elastic bracelets during storage.

Wear & Tear Notice

  • Elastic cord is a consumable part. Inspect it every 6–12 months and re-string when needed to prevent breakage and bead loss.
  • Natural inclusions, “cotton” and fissures are normal characteristics of natural crystals. Impacts can enlarge existing cracks.
  • Metal accents, if present, may tarnish faster with heavy sweating; regular polishing restores their shine.

What to Avoid

  • Salt water and salt: salt corrodes metal and stone polish and weakens the elastic string.
  • Direct sun-bathing: risk of permanent color fading and cord aging.
  • Prolonged running-water rinses: trapped moisture is hard to dry fully.
  • Ultrasonic cleaners and hot water.
